Stars are all around us! 🌟

An esteemed pair, medical director Prof Sanjay Arya OBE and local historian Tom Walsh MBE, are the latest names to be added to the borough's Walk of Fame.

Tom and Sanjay were presented with their Believe Stars at special ceremonies this week.

The stars are awarded to residents have had a huge impact on our communities, from major sports stars (like Jenny Meadows, Keely Hodgkinson and Ella Toone) to medical professionals (such as all the NHS and care staff who supported our borough during the pandemic) and community heroes (like Dorothy and Frank Bowker).

The star is the highest civic accolade awarded to a resident of Wigan Borough.
